Marina footbridge installation

The edited film of the installation of a new bridge over the Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes, part of the Campbell Wharf Marina. development is now live, incorporating aerial and ground filming.

Our client, Land & Water is responsible for the construction of the 111 berth marina, which includes 110,000m3 earthworks to form the marina profile, 500m of steel sheet piled retaining structures and 85m of reinforced concrete retaining wall.

The impressive 60 tonne bridge was fabricated and installed by SH Structures, designed by Knight Architects and COWI. Some pretty awful weather limited the aerial filming, but we did capture a great timelapse of the bridge being craned into position.

We'll be returning to site in January to complete the aerial filming of the bridge, along with mapping and modelling of the marina basin prior to filling.
