Drone roof inspection identifies major faults

Rennie Campbell

One of the most effective uses of drones is to conduct building inspections - and a recent project demonstrated exactly why.

The owner of a domestic 3-storey terraced property had a new roof installed, however it was soon clear that there were problems but without direct access it wasn't possible to identify the extent of the problem.

Levitate was therefore tasked to conduct an inspection, which quickly showed multiple problems including broken and cracked tiles and heavily degraded mortar.

The results are now being used to support a claim against the roofing company.
